Kotdwar, October 3, 2026: Santosh Gosai was honoured with the Kamlesh Smriti Samman–2026 for his contribution to social service and his efforts to encourage young people towards constructive activities.
The honour was presented during a tribute programme organised at Janata Inter College, Chainpur, Nainidanda Block, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, on the second death anniversary of late Shri Kamlesh Kandari, a social worker and educationist remembered for his association with social welfare and education.
The programme brought together local representatives, educators, social workers, self-made entrepreneurs and members of the community, who paid tribute to Kamlesh Kandari and recalled his contribution to society.
Recognised for Work Among Youth
Santosh Gosai was among those felicitated during the programme. He was recognised for his involvement in social activities and efforts aimed at motivating young people to participate in positive and meaningful initiatives.
Gosai comes from a professional background in civil engineering and entrepreneurship and has more than two decades of experience in the field. He has been associated with construction and specialised engineering solutions and is the founder of 3R Joints & Seals Pvt. Ltd., a company working in the area of expansion joints and related engineering solutions.
Alongside his professional work, Gosai has also remained involved in initiatives focused on social engagement and encouraging young people. His recognition at the Kamlesh Smriti Samman–2026 reflects the organisers’ appreciation of his efforts towards community participation and youth motivation.
Speaking about the purpose of the programme, the organisers said that remembering late Shri Kamlesh Kandari was also an effort to encourage the younger generation to follow the values of service, responsibility and community participation that he stood for.
The event was attended by Lansdowne MLA Mahant Dilip Singh Rawat, Smt. Laxhmi Kandari, wife of late Shri Kamlesh Kandari, Shri Deendayal Kandari, Shri Neeraj Pant, Kshetra Panchayat Androli Ward, Shri Rahul Bist, Zilla Panchayat Member, Shri Raghubir Bist, Shri Shishupal Singh Rawat, along with other dignitaries, Principal Dhanpal Singh Rawat, teacher Priyavrat Singh Kandari, and other educators, social workers and prominent members of the local community.
The organisers said the Kamlesh Smriti Samman was instituted as a way of remembering the late social worker and continuing the spirit of social service associated with his work.
For Santosh Gosai, the felicitation marked recognition of his continued involvement in social initiatives and his efforts to engage and encourage young people in the community.
