New Delhi: Finding time for everyday cleaning and maintenance has become increasingly difficult for many households and vehicle owners. A routine car wash, sofa cleaning or AC servicing can often mean arranging a visit to a service centre, waiting for the job to be completed and, in some cases, dealing with different service providers for different needs.
WashCo Services Private Limited is trying to change that experience by taking cleaning and maintenance services directly to customers.
The company has built its model around doorstep delivery, covering services ranging from car and bike cleaning to home deep cleaning and specialised utility services. The idea is fairly straightforward: instead of customers taking their vehicles or making arrangements around a service provider, the service team comes to them.
Bringing different services under one roof
WashCo’s portfolio extends beyond conventional car washing. Its auto-care services include doorstep foam washing, steam washing, interior detailing, bike washing and car detailing.
For homes, the company offers services such as sofa and carpet cleaning, mattress sanitisation, kitchen degreasing and bathroom cleaning. It also operates in specialised areas, including AC chemical deep cleaning, overhead water-tank cleaning and mechanised septic-tank cleaning.
The company is positioning this wider range as an organised cleaning-services ecosystem rather than limiting itself to a single category.
A larger business plan behind the doorstep model
WashCo’s expansion plans are being supported by Robins Group, which has outlined a ₹50 crore business vision for the company. The stated focus is on building the company’s doorstep service network, expanding its franchise ecosystem and strengthening its technology and market presence.
The long-term target is national expansion by 2030, with particular attention to Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities. The company plans to use a franchise-led model to expand its presence while creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs and service professionals.
For potential franchise partners, WashCo has developed different formats, including an Express/Doorstep Kit, van-based franchise, detailing studio and fully automatic wash station. The formats are intended to suit different locations, infrastructure requirements and investment capacities.
More than just a franchise outlet
The company says its franchise approach is not limited to providing a brand name and equipment. Partners are supported in areas such as business setup, training, marketing assistance, equipment guidance, technical support, operations manuals and POS systems.
This is an important part of WashCo’s expansion strategy. A local franchise operator is expected to function not just as a service outlet but as part of a larger service network.
For smaller entrepreneurs and people looking to enter the service sector, the model offers a relatively structured route into a market that has traditionally remained fragmented.
Technology becoming part of the service experience
Convenience alone is not enough when customers are paying for a service at home. They also want to know when the team will arrive, what they are being charged and whether the work is progressing as expected.
WashCo has incorporated features such as a mobile application and web portal, real-time tracking, transparent billing and on-time service delivery into its operating model.
The company sees technology as a way of bringing greater visibility to the interaction between customers and service providers, rather than simply using it as a booking tool.
Focus on water and cleaning materials
Water use is another issue associated with professional cleaning services. WashCo says it is using water-saving machinery and 100% biodegradable cleaning agents as part of its operating approach.
The intention is to combine professional cleaning with more responsible use of water and cleaning materials.
Sneha Dubey overseeing the growth strategy
CEO Sneha Dubey is overseeing the company’s broader strategic direction and execution. Her responsibilities include the development of the doorstep-services model, operational systems, franchise expansion and technology-led customer experience.
Her role is closely connected with WashCo’s Vision 2030, which aims to take the company’s organised doorstep cleaning network to more cities across India.
Looking towards 2030
WashCo’s stated ambition is to build a nationwide network by 2030. The company believes the changing lifestyles of consumers, particularly in larger cities and emerging urban centres, could create room for more organised cleaning and maintenance services.
The larger proposition is built around four elements: convenience for customers, opportunities for entrepreneurs, employment for service professionals and technology to bring greater structure to service delivery.
Whether that model can achieve the scale being targeted will depend on execution, service consistency and the company’s ability to build a dependable franchise network. For now, WashCo is betting on a simple consumer shift: when people have less time, they are increasingly willing to pay for services that come to them.
That shift is at the centre of the company’s Vision 2030 — building a cleaning-services network that goes beyond car washing and household cleaning to include technology, local entrepreneurship and employment opportunities.
