As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to influence the education sector, educators across India are exploring new ways to make learning more engaging, personalized, and future-ready. Among them is Sumit Goswami, Founder of Lifeskillguru, who says his mission is to combine Artificial Intelligence, Brain Science, and Life Skills to support learners of different age groups.
After spending nearly 18 years in the corporate software industry as a Software Engineer, Sumit transitioned into the education space with the aim of promoting learning approaches inspired by CBSE and India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasize creativity, critical thinking, experiential learning, and holistic development.
Through Lifeskillguru, he works with students, parents, educators, professionals, and senior citizens, advocating the use of AI alongside brain-based learning methods. According to Sumit, the objective is to reduce academic stress while encouraging curiosity, independent thinking, and lifelong learning.
Sumit says he has connected with more than 250 students and parents through workshops, mentoring sessions, and awareness programs. He also collaborates with schools and educational institutions to explore how Artificial Intelligence and Brain Science can complement classroom learning.
One of the initiatives he highlights is an AI-powered application designed to help a student with ADHD compose music independently. He believes the experience demonstrated how technology, when combined with empathy and neuroscience, can support individual learning journeys.
Looking ahead, Sumit shares that he is developing an AI-powered Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic (VAK) learning platform, while also working toward creating an innovation ecosystem where children can experiment, collaborate, and develop future-ready skills.
Beyond his professional work, Sumit enjoys table tennis, swimming, fitness, reading, and spending time with family. He says both he and his son have represented West Bengal in table tennis, and he continues to prepare for national-level competitions.
