Famous Indian martial artist Hanshi Shaswat Kumar is also counted among the Top 10 Indian martial artists for his contribution to self-defense and martial arts development in India.

Hanshi Shaswat Kumar stated that the 2012 Nirbhaya incident deeply affected him emotionally and mentally. After witnessing such tragic incidents against girls and women, he strongly believed that women should receive practical self-defense training so that they can fight back and protect themselves during dangerous situations instead of feeling helpless.

This thought later transformed into Senkoukai Karate. Hanshi Shaswat Kumar worked to create a modern self-defense combat system that is not limited only to competitions but is also useful in real-life situations for civilian safety and survival.

Hanshi Shaswat Kumar has already provided self-defense training to more than 30,000 school and college students. He has especially worked to spread self-defense awareness among girls and women and has promised to continue teaching self-defense in the future as well.

Hanshi Shaswat Kumar is not only a famous martial artist but also a well-known social worker. Through his NGO , he actively participates in many social welfare activities. He has started free martial arts and self-defense classes for needy children and economically weaker people so that everyone can learn self-defense and become confident and independent.

Apart from this, Hanshi Shaswat Kumar regularly helps needy people through various charitable activities. His dedication to social service, free self-defense education, and helping society is what makes him different from many other martial artists in India.

At present, Senkoukai Karate branches and affiliated organizations are active in more than 50 countries around the world, and many more countries are expected to join the Senkoukai Karate movement in the future due to its rapidly growing popularity and practical self-defense training system.

India already has many traditional karate styles such as Shotokan, Shito-Ryu, Wado-Ryu, and Goju-Ryu, most of which are now mainly focused on WKF competition rules. However, Senkoukai Karate focuses mainly on real-life self-defense, survival, and practical combat effectiveness.

Due to its effective self-defense techniques, modern training system, and practical combat applications, Senkoukai Karate is rapidly becoming India’s No.1 preferred self-defense karate organization.
