J&K Bank hands over 5000+ sanction letters under Mission YUVA

Srinagar, September 21: J&K Bank has achieved a significant milestone by issuing over 5,000 sanction letters across Jammu and Kashmir under the Government’s flagship Mission YUVA initiative. This program is designed to promote youth entrepreneurship and generate employment opportunities throughout the Union Territory.

To celebrate this accomplishment, the Bank organized eight “Login Day” events across various districts during the week, distributing 356 sanction letters to aspiring entrepreneurs. These events were held in the presence of senior bank officials and district administration representatives. Notably, Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal and J&K Bank General Manager Ashutosh Sareen led the event in Bandipora, while Deputy Commissioner Dr. Ayushi Sudan and General Manager Narjay Gupta chaired the program in Samba. Similar ceremonies took place in Udhampur, Kishtwar, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Srinagar, and Jammu.

District officials lauded the Bank’s proactive role and urged beneficiaries to leverage the support with innovation and commitment, transforming their ventures into sustainable, job-creating enterprises. Senior management of J&K Bank reaffirmed their dedication to the success of Mission YUVA, encouraging youth to seize the scheme’s benefits and turn their ideas into viable businesses. They emphasized that the entire Bank workforce is operating in mission mode to fulfill the program’s vision.

Launched by the J&K Government on June 28, Mission YUVA aims to empower young entrepreneurs and foster a self-reliant economy. According to a J&K Bank spokesperson, the initiative targets the creation of 1.37 lakh enterprises and the generation of 4.25 lakh jobs over the next five years.

Supporting this vision, J&K Bank rolled out its “Yuva Udaan” campaign on July 4 under the leadership of MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee, instructing all branches to prioritize Mission YUVA applications to meet targets promptly. With over 5,000 sanction letters distributed within a few months, J&K Bank has made a remarkable stride in nurturing the entrepreneurial aspirations of youth across the Union Territory.
