After a serious incident, two people, Vivek and Kotwal, needed medical care for their injuries. While Kotwal was moved to a private hospital in Punjab for specialized care because of the severity of his condition, Vivek was admitted to the Government Medical College (GMC) in Kathua for treatment.
Following the incident, Dr. Abbas was arrested and taken into custody by the police as the main suspect. Along with other pertinent provisions that relate to the nature of the offense, he is charged under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (attempt to murder). Dr. Abbas was quickly taken into police custody and held for more than 48 hours as part of the ongoing investigation.
Since Section 307 is only applied in cases involving intent to cause grievous harm or potential fatal injury, the charges under this section demonstrate the seriousness of the case. Authorities are reportedly looking into every facet of the incident to create a thorough narrative of what happened before Vivek and Kotwal were hurt. The investigation is still going on to decide what to do next based on the results, and legal action is anticipated to follow.
