Yuv Tarang 2025 concludes its third day with colourful artistic and musical performances

The third day of the Cultural and Literary Festival Yuv Tarang 2025, organised under the aegis of Cluster University of Jammu by the Department of Students Welfare (DSW), showcased an inspiring blend of visual arts and musical talents across the campus.

The day witnessed three major events—Painting, Poster Making, and Cartooning—conducted at GCOE under the supervision of Dr. Monika Sharma, Dean Arts, and Dr. Mohd Zubair, Dean SOTET. The events were adjudged by Mr Ankush kesar IMPA, Ms Mahua gupta and Dr Amarjeet singh

In the Painting competition, Harsimran Kaur (GCOE)clinched the first position, followed by Kaushika Bhatyal (GCW Gandhi Nagar) in second place and Simran Chowdhary (GCW Gandhi Nagar) securing third. Mansi Rajput (GCOE) and Vansh Mahotra (School of Social Sciences) received consolation awards.

In Poster Making, Harsimran Kaur (GCOE) again secured first place, while Madhav Sontra(MAM College) won second and Mohd Zaigham Salaria (GGM Science College) placed third. Tania Manhas (GCW Gandhi Nagar) earned the consolation prize.

The Cartooning event showcased exceptional creativity with Parassey Sharma (GCW Gandhi Nagar) winning first, Mohd Zaigham (GGM Science College) placing second and Ruchira Verma (GCW Gandhi Nagar) finishing third. Sonakshi Sharma (SPMR College) received the consolation award.

Under the guidance of Dr. Meenakshi Bandral, Director IQAC, the music segment comprised Folk Orchestra and Light Vocal Solo. The events were adjudged by Prof Anupama sharma, Mr Dharmesh nargotra and Mr Jagdeep singh.

In the Light Vocal Solo competition,

Mukesh Kumar (School of Humanities & Liberal Arts)secured the first position,

Ridhima Bajpai(GCW Gandhi Nagar) won the second position,

• Gunjan Chaudhary (GGM Science College) bagged the third position,

while Dheeraj Kumar (MAM College) received the consolation award.

Across categories, adjudication was carried out by panels of experts, and compiled results were formally authenticated by jury members.

The events were coordinated under the overall supervision of Prof. D.S. Manhas, Dean Student welfare, along with Dr Davinder Kour, Dr Revika Arora and college cultural convenors
