“I have learned that leadership starts when people begin depending on you. Whether you are managing a team, serving hundreds of residents or building a company, responsibility cannot be delegated completely. You have to be willing to stand behind your decisions and solve problems every day.”
The experience has also shaped his understanding of what it takes to build an organisation. According to him, leadership is not only about giving instructions; it is about building systems, communicating with people and taking ownership when things do not go according to plan.
