Cluster University of Jammu celebrated its 10th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm at the auditorium of PSPS Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, marking a decade of academic growth, innovation, and achievements.
Dr. Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while the programme was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Sr Prof. K. S. Chandrasekar. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Twinkle Suri, Dean Academic Affairs, followed by the keynote address by the Vice Chancellor highlighting the university’s journey, milestones, and vision for the future.
The event was attended by Ms. Ankur Mahajan (JKAS), Registrar of the University, the Controller of Examinations, Financial Advisor, Deans of various faculties, Directors, Principals of constituent colleges, faculty members, and students.
The celebration also featured a vibrant cultural segment presented by the students. The performances included a melodious group song, a thought-provoking skit on water pollution highlighting the urgent need for environmental responsibility, and an energetic Haryanvi group dance that added colour and enthusiasm to the event. These performances beautifully reflected the creativity, awareness, and cultural diversity of the university community.
The programme also highlighted the achievements of the university community in academics, research, sports, cultural and co-curricular activities, recognizing outstanding performers for their remarkable contributions.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Daljeet Singh Manhas, Dean Students Welfare, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty, and students for making the celebration a memorable occasion.
