Budgam, 23 Feb: Jammu and Kashmir police in Budgam have arrested two men for dealing drugs and seized a large amount of illegal substances.
A police spokesperson reported that the arrests happened during a checkpoint set up by the Khansahab Police Station at Kremshora, near a graveyard. Officers noticed a suspicious man trying to run away and quickly caught him. He was identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Sofi, who lives in Chodribagh Kremshora.
When police searched Sofi, they found three sticks of a charas-like substance wrapped in corn husk, weighing about 69.28 grams. He was arrested on the spot.
During questioning, Sofi revealed that he got the drugs from another local man, Mohammad Wahid Thoker, also from Chodribagh Kremshora. Acting on this information, the police raided Thoker’s house with a First Class Executive Magistrate present. They found around 550 grams of charas-like powder, which led to Thoker’s arrest.

The police have registered a case against both men at the Khansahab Police Station and are continuing their investigation into drug activities in the area. They are committed to fighting drug trafficking and keeping the community safe.
