Jammu, Dec 17: A police officer in Jammu has been suspended for allegedly misbehaving with a lawyer. This action came after lawyers protested against the officer’s behavior.
The protest by the lawyers led to a roadblock, which prompted quick action from the authorities.
The officer who was suspended is Assistant Sub Inspector Kamal Kumar Sharma. Lawyers claim that he misbehaved with one of their colleagues, causing anger among the legal community.
The Bar Association Jammu condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the officer. They also claimed that ASI Kamal Kumar often misuses his power and mistreats the public.
In response to the protest, the Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic City Jammu suspended the officer while further investigation is conducted.
