Kulgam, Nov. 1: According to officials, three residential homes and a cow shed were completely destroyed in a terrible fire that occurred in the Daderkoot neighborhood of the Kulgam district in south Kashmir. After starting late last night, the fire quickly spread and severely damaged four buildings, including three two-story homes. Luckily, there were no recorded casualties.
According to an authority, a short circuit seems to be the fire’s likely source. Throughout the night, firefighters and locals tried to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to other surrounding properties.
In a different occurrence, a fire that started early in the morning in Tarzoo hamlet, Sopore, damaged two stores. Due to their prompt response, firefighters were able to contain the fire before it could do more harm. Officials are still investigating the cause of this fire and trying to figure out what might have started it. Communities are concerned about both occurrences, and locals are pleading with officials to take precautions to lessen the likelihood of future fires.
