On November 7, Kupwara: In order to examine the instances concerning property damage in the district, concerned personnel met today with Ms. Ayushi Sudan, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara and Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
In order to ensure that aid is distributed to the impacted families as soon as possible, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officers to make sure that a joint assessment report of the damaged infrastructure within their jurisdiction is submitted as soon as possible. They were also instructed to determine the cause of the incident and appropriately include it in the report.
All of the district’s property and livestock damage claims were thoroughly examined case by case by the Deputy Commissioner.
42 cases pertaining to earthquake, fire, and landslide/flood catastrophes were discussed during the conference; 41 of these cases were granted relief under the guidelines of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), and one case was postponed for further consideration.
