A 31-year-old man has been arrested for stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The attack happened early Thursday morning at Khan’s home in Bandra, Mumbai, during a robbery attempt. Doctors say Khan is recovering from his injuries.
The suspect, Aakash Kailash Kannojia, was on a train called the Jnaneshwari Express, which goes from Mumbai to Kolkata. Around 12:30 PM, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) got a call from the Mumbai Police saying that Kannojia was on the train. They sent his photo and location to help find him.
The RPF first checked at Rajnandgaon station but could not find him. Then, they sent two teams to Durg railway station to look for him.
At Durg, the RPF recognized Kannojia from the photo and arrested him. He was taken to the RPF Post in Durg. The Mumbai Police have been informed and are on their way to take him for further questioning.
Reports say that the suspect was traveling in the general class section of the train, which is located just behind the engine. The investigation is still ongoing to learn more about the attack on the actor.
