Srinagar police have arrested five known drug dealers to fight against drug trafficking. This action is part of their effort to deal with the rising problem of drug use among young people in the area.
The arrested individuals are:
- Mohd Toyoub Sheikh from Surnai Mohalla Kawdara.
- Abrar Ahamd Misger, also called Aaba, from Zakoora.
- Milad Bashir Bhat from Doolipora Kawdara.
- Mohd Rafiq Patoo from Ahmad Nagar.
- Muneer Ahmad Bhat from Sonwar.
These men were arrested after the police gathered information about their activities and got official permission to detain them. They have been sent to different jails, including Central Jail Kot-Balwal in Jammu and District Jails in Udhampur and Kathua.
The police say these drug dealers have been selling drugs to young people in Srinagar, which is a serious problem. Even after being caught before, they continued to sell drugs without caring about the law or the health of the community.
The police are also working to take away the properties of these drug dealers to stop their illegal activities and discourage others from selling drugs.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police are committed to stopping drug trafficking in the region. They warn anyone involved in this illegal activity that they will be caught and punished.
The police encourage people in the community to stay alert and report any suspicious drug-related activities to help keep the youth of Srinagar safe.
