On the night of January 13-14, 2025, a police team from Police Post Warpora, along with the Forest Department, set up a checkpoint at Janwara. They stopped a tractor with the registration number JK05D-3984. During the search, they found a significant amount of illegal willow timber that had been cut from Forest Compartment No. 13 in Janwara Nambal.
Following this operation, a case (FIR No. 05/2025) has been registered at Police Station Sopore, and the investigation is ongoing.
