IIMC Jammu celebrated the 76th Republic Day with pride and enthusiasm, showcasing the students’ deep sense of patriotism. The event, entirely organized by the students, highlighted their love for the country and their dedication to upholding the spirit of the day.
The celebration commenced with the unfurling of flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem, which filled the atmosphere with a sense of unity and pride. Dr. Dilip Kumar, Regional Director of IIMC Jammu, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech. He emphasized the significance of India’s unity and integrity, reminding everyone of the diverse yet harmonious fabric of the nation. Dr. Kumar urged the students to feel proud of living in a secure and progressive country like India. He further stressed the importance of fulfilling one’s duties, especially for students, as they prepare to contribute to the nation’s growth and development.
The cultural segment of the program was a vibrant display of talent and patriotism. Students performed soulful patriotic songs, energetic dances, and recited heartfelt poems that celebrated the essence of India’s rich heritage and struggles for independence. Each performance resonated with the audience, leaving a lasting impression of national pride.
Dr. Anil Saumitra also delivered an insightful speech, focusing on the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. He encouraged students to embrace education as a tool for achieving true freedom and urged them to work diligently for the betterment of the nation. His words inspired the students to reflect on their roles as responsible citizens.
The event was hosted by Madhuri and Aditya, students from the Digital Media and English Journalism courses. The vote of thanks was delivered by Haider, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.
