Srinagar was very cold today, with temperatures dropping to -7.3°C. Across Kashmir Valley, it was freezing.
Pulwama and Shopian were the coldest at -9.1°C. Anantnag was also very cold at -9.0°C. Budgam reached -7.8°C, Khudwani -7.7°C, and Larnoo -8.6°C. Sonamarg recorded -7.5°C, and Bandipora was at -7.2°C. Ganderbal saw -6.9°C, Baramulla -6.1°C, Kupwara -6.4°C, Kokernag -5.4°C, Pahalgam -8.4°C, and Gulmarg -6.6°C.
In Jammu, it was less cold. Jammu city was 7.1°C. Banihal was colder at -1.3°C, and Padder in Kishtwar was very cold at -9.5°C. Batote, Katra, and Kathua had temperatures from 0.7°C to 6.7°C. Udhampur was 2.3°C, Rajouri 2.2°C, and Poonch 2.9°C. Bhaderwah was -1.6°C.
Ladakh was the coldest area. Leh dropped to -12.6°C, and Kargil was -12.0°C. Drass, known as one of the coldest places in India, was likely even colder.
