Prof. Shaad Ramzan, a well-known poet from Kashmir, has been chosen by the Prasar Bharati jury to represent the Kashmiri language at the National Symposium of Poets-2025. This is one of the biggest gatherings of poets in the world and will take place on December 19 in Mumbai.
Poets from twenty-two Indian languages will share their poems at this special event. The recording of the symposium, which is held every year for Republic Day, will be broadcast on all Akashvani stations across India on January 25 at 10 PM.
Shaad Ramzan will present his poem ‘Tyuth Kanh Baeth,’ which is a prayer for reconnecting with nature and enjoying its endless gifts.
Prof. Shaad is not only a poet but also a respected critic. He has received the Sahitya Akademi Award and has written many important books. He is currently the Convener of the Kashmiri Advisory Committee of the Sahitya Academy.
