Actor Prateik Babbar has started a new chapter in his life by marrying Priya Banerjee after dating for a long time. The couple celebrated their love with a lovely traditional wedding at the home of Prateik’s late mother, famous actress Smita Patil, in Bandra, Mumbai. They shared their happiness on social media, posting beautiful pictures from the event with the caption, “I’ll marry you in every lifetime #priyaKAprateik.”

The wedding was intimate, with Prateik and Priya wearing stunning traditional outfits designed by Tarun Tahiliani. Priya looked gorgeous in an ivory and gold lehenga, beautifully decorated with intricate embroidery. She paired her lehenga with a corset and a sheer dupatta, along with elegant kundan jewelry, including a maangtika, bangles, a choker necklace, and statement earrings. Prateik complemented her look in an open sherwani, a shirt, and a dhoti set, finishing his outfit with a pearl necklace.
The wedding decor was simple yet elegant, featuring shades of ivory and white. The mandap was decorated with fresh white flowers and green leaves, creating a dreamy setting for their special day.
In an interview with Vogue India, Prateik shared the importance of the location, saying, “We wanted a ‘ghar ki shaadi,’ and getting married to the love of my life here—the first house that my mom bought and my home—was the best way to honor her in spirit.”
However, the happy occasion was overshadowed by some family drama. Earlier in the day, Prateik’s half-brother, Aarya Babbar, claimed that their father, veteran actor Raj Babbar, was not invited to the wedding. In an interview, Aarya expressed his confusion and disappointment, suggesting that someone might be influencing Prateik’s decisions. “I think someone has too much influence over him. He doesn’t want to connect with anyone from this side of the family,” Aarya said.
This wedding is Prateik’s second; he was previously married to Sanya Sagar, but they divorced in January 2023, just a year after getting married.
As Prateik and Priya begin their new life together, the family issues surrounding their wedding continue to attract attention, showing the complexities of relationships in the public eye.
