The Srinagar Police have successfully solved an extortion case by arresting three people involved in the crime.
On December 23, 2024, a man named Gh Mohiuddin from Firdous Abad Batamaloo went to the Maisuma police station with injuries. He reported that on December 21st or 22nd, around 2:00 a.m., while heading to Budshah Chowk for work, he was stopped by a group who attacked him and stole cash from his wallet before running away.
The police registered the case under FIR No. 30/2024 and started investigating. By carefully checking CCTV footage and other evidence, they caught the suspects. The arrested individuals are Ishfaq Ahmad Dar (also known as Ish Mut) from Nishat Khaki Mohalla, Tahir Ahmad Mir (also known as 90) from Bangladesh Colony Rainawari, and Arsalan Mushtaq Wandroo (also known as Karihul) from Hasibath Rainawari.
