An 18-year-old boy from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, named Mohd Sadiq, was returned to the Pakistani army along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday.
The Indian Army caught him in Noorkote village on December 11 after he accidentally crossed the border into India.
During questioning, it was found that he had crossed into India by mistake. After confirming his identity with the Pakistani authorities, the Indian Army decided to send him back on humanitarian grounds.
The handover took place at the Chakan-Da-Bagh border crossing. Police and civil officials were present to complete all necessary formalities before returning him to the Pakistani army.
