The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department has announced a Winter Carnival in Pahalgam on January 2. The event will start at 4 PM at the Pahalgam Club. The goal is to promote Pahalgam as a great place to visit all year round.
The carnival will feature Kashmiri food and handicrafts, showing off the unique culture of Kashmir. This gives tourists a chance to enjoy the rich traditions of the region.
With recent snowfall making the area even more beautiful, officials are hopeful for a busy winter tourism season. Right now, 50–70% of hotels with good heating are booked, showing strong interest from tourists. Everyone in Pahalgam is ready to welcome visitors.
“We are excited to give our guests a memorable experience,” an official said. He also encouraged new tourists to come and enjoy Pahalgam’s natural beauty, friendly people, and local food.
The Winter Carnival aims to make Pahalgam a must-visit spot in Jammu and Kashmir.
