SRINAGAR, Dec 7: Taking a significant step to improve direct communication with the residents of Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held his first public interaction at the newly established Chief Minister’s Public Services and Outreach Office, named Raabita.
During the event, the Chief Minister highlighted that this office aims to create a dedicated platform for addressing public grievances and fostering a strong relationship between the government and its citizens. Fifteen delegations, representing various social, cultural, and professional groups, met with the Chief Minister.
The discussions focused on economic challenges, the preservation of culture, employment issues, and development across different sectors. The preservation of the region’s unique cultural heritage was a key topic, with delegations advocating for efforts to promote Jammu and Kashmir’s rich heritage, protect local languages, and implement social welfare initiatives.
The Chief Minister listened carefully to these concerns and stressed the importance of a unified approach to safeguard the region’s distinct identity.
