Kupwara Feb 23: A small earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale hit Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening, causing tremors in Kupwara. The earthquake occurred at 8:47 PM and lasted only a few seconds.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a latitude of 34.28 degrees north and a longitude of 74.00 degrees east, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or damage to buildings. Local officials are keeping an eye on the situation, but residents have been assured that the earthquake was mild and not a serious threat.
