According to the LG, his government will strive for a better future for J&K, which has achieved a 7% annual growth output. “We are dedicated to expanding employment opportunities and bolstering J&K’s financial standing,” he stated. “Every area of J & K shall receive the same treatment in order to build a flourishing community.”
He declared that better roads, electricity, water, and internet connectivity will be his government’s.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that his government is dedicated to the effective implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes to drive significant development in Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that enhanced rail connectivity from Delhi to Kashmir will be a pivotal factor in boosting the region’s economy. Additionally, the introduction of night landing systems at Jammu and Srinagar airports is expected to further stimulate economic growth.
The LG stated that efforts will be made to ensure that development reaches even the most remote areas of J&K. Plans are underway to provide 100 units of free electricity to eligible households, with details being finalized.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to harness local resources with support from the Government of India and to implement C Rangarajan’s poverty report for the socio-economic betterment of the region.
Furthermore, he announced that all government buildings in J&K will transition to solar power under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. The government is also focused on improving healthcare services and intensifying efforts to combat drug abuse.
For the agricultural sector, the LG promised innovative initiatives and emphasized plans to enhance urban infrastructure based on the needs of urban residents.
Announcement of 100 Units of Free Electricity for Deserving Families

During his address to the Legislative Assembly in Srinagar, the LG stated, “We have decided to provide 100 units of free power to deserving families, and we are currently working on the modalities for implementation.”
He also mentioned that all government buildings will soon be equipped with solar rooftop power systems under the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Scheme (PMSGS).
Additionally, Sinha emphasized his government’s commitment to ensuring the safe return of Kashmiri Migrant Pandits to the valley and providing safe accommodation for Kashmiri Migrant employees.
