Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, said on Thursday that the administration is focused on getting ready for the winter season and major events efficiently.
Speaking in Handwara, Bidhuri talked about boosting tourism in Kupwara with events like the Bungus Festival, which he attended last year. “Bungus has a lot of potential for eco-tourism, and we’re looking at ways to make it a main attraction,” he said.
For winter preparations, Bidhuri assured that they are ready to provide better services than last year. “We review plans daily to ensure everything is set, and this winter will be better,” he added.
He also mentioned that the Khelo India Games in Gulmarg will go ahead as planned. “Last time, snowfall delays affected the schedule, but this year we expect the games to proceed smoothly,” he said.
