Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, said on Friday that the region is not completely normal yet because there are still reports of attacks in different areas. He was responding to Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments that removing Article 370 helped fully integrate J&K with India.
Abdullah mentioned that while things are improving, complete normalcy hasn’t been achieved. He said it’s a process, and we’ll have to see what happens in the future.
Regarding electricity, the chief minister said the government is doing its best to improve supply. This year, the electricity situation is better than last year, but there are still some power cuts. They are working to fix these issues quickly.
For the winter season, Abdullah said the government is prepared. They have held many meetings and learned from past experiences. They plan to repeat what worked well and fix any problems they had before.
He also addressed rumors about changing the name of the Kashmir valley, saying there is no such plan. A channel or newspaper reported it, but later clarified it was not true. Such a change can’t happen without the J&K government’s permission.
