Srinagar, Dec 1 On Sunday morning, dense fog enveloped various areas of Kashmir, with temperatures dropping below freezing at several locations in the valley following recent snowfall the previous day, according to officials.
Visibility in Srinagar and some other regions of Kashmir fell below 50 meters at dawn due to the thick fog, as reported by an official. Motorists experienced challenges navigating the roads due to the low visibility, the official noted.
Despite the conditions, flight operations at Srinagar International Airport were not affected, as confirmed by an Airports Authority of India representative. The fresh snowfall on Saturday caused the temperatures to plummet below-freezing levels overnight in multiple areas across the valley.
