The cough syrup brand, Cocrex, was obtained illegally from its manufacturer, Vidit Healthcare, in Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. Neeraj Bhatia, who lives in Panipat, Haryana, is the managing partner of the company.
The ED stated that their investigation found that from 2018 to 2024, several companies, including Kansal Industries, Kansal Pharmaceuticals, N K Pharmaceuticals, Nouveta Pharma, and S S Industry, were getting the cough syrup from Vidit Healthcare and distributing it without permission.
The agency’s actions show its commitment to fighting drug-related crimes and the illegal trade of controlled substances. The investigation will continue as authorities work to uncover more details and hold those responsible accountable.
