Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir – The Budgam Police have arrested five people for illegal gambling in the Narbal area. The arrests happened in the village of Jawaharpora after police received reliable information about gambling taking place in an open field.

A police team, led by the In-Charge of Police Post Narbal, quickly raided the location. They found the suspects gambling and arrested them on the spot. During the raid, police seized ₹33,500 in cash and playing cards used for gambling.
The arrested individuals are:
- Nisar Ahmad Dar, from Chanabal Mirgund, Baramulla.
- Gh Mohd Bhat, from Ghat Sozeith Goripora.
- Shahnawaz Ahmad Sheikh, from Matipora Pattan.
- Gh Rasool Parray, from Sumbal Sonawari.
- Gh Mohiddin Rather, from Alambal Mirgund.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 21/2025 at Police Station Magam, and the investigation is ongoing.
