Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a profit of ₹262 crore for the third quarter of this financial year, marking its first profit since 2007. The company credits this success to new ideas, expanding its network, cutting costs, and improving customer service.
A. Robert J. Ravi, the Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL, expressed happiness about the company’s performance. He said, “We are pleased with our financial performance this quarter, which shows our focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and network expansion. We expect our revenue growth to exceed 20% by the end of the financial year.”
BSNL reported strong revenue growth in several areas. Revenue from mobile services increased by 15%, Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services grew by 18%, and leased lines rose by 14% compared to the same quarter last year. The company has also managed to lower its finance costs and overall spending, reducing losses by over ₹1,800 crore compared to last year.
