The Kerala Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested businessman Boby Chemmanur following a sexual harassment complaint made by Malayalam actress Honey Rose. Chemmanur was taken into custody in Wayanad and has been charged under non-bailable sections of the law.
Honey Rose, a well-known actress in the South Indian film industry, accused Chemmanur of making inappropriate sexual comments towards her. In a Facebook post, she initially spoke about being stalked and receiving offensive remarks online, without naming anyone. However, after facing harassment from several individuals who commented on her post, she decided to approach the police.
On Tuesday, Honey Rose publicly named Boby Chemmanur in another social media post, stating that she had filed a complaint against him for his continuous derogatory remarks. She expressed her confidence in the Indian legal system, despite Chemmanur’s wealth.
