New Delhi, 13 Feb – Outgoing Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has raised concerns about a rise in power cuts in the city since the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lost the recent assembly elections. During a press conference on Thursday, she said that she has received many complaints from residents about electricity outages, with over 40 reported in just three days.
Atishi criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that they do not know how to govern properly. She warned that Delhi could face long power outages like those in Uttar Pradesh, which is also ruled by the BJP.

“In the last three days, I have received several complaints about power cuts in Delhi. Does this mean the power system has collapsed in just three days? It shows that under Arvind Kejriwal’s government, the AAP was closely monitoring the electricity situation every day,” Atishi said, according to PTI.
She added that the quick decline in power services indicates a failure in governance since AAP was removed from power. “Now that AAP’s government is gone, the power sector has fallen apart in just three days,” she stated.
Residents are reportedly starting to buy inverters to deal with the unexpected power cuts. As the situation develops, many are concerned about the future of Delhi’s electricity supply under the new government.
