Despite facing economic challenges, the Pakistani army continues to support terrorist activities. This year, 60% of the terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir were from Pakistan. The recruitment of local people into these terror groups is very low, with only four locals joining this year, according to Army officials.
Security forces have successfully eliminated about 75 terrorists through various operations across Jammu and Kashmir, including the Jammu region and the Kashmir Valley. These operations also include stopping terrorists trying to cross the Line of Control (LoC).
Pakistan has long been known as a major source of terrorism worldwide, especially targeting India. Since last year, Pakistan has increased its efforts to promote terrorism in the Jammu region. However, the Indian Army has deployed more troops to districts like Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar, Kathua, and Reasi, which has helped reduce terrorist activities. This extra deployment was necessary after some forces were moved to the China border.
Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General MV Suchendra Kumar are focused on removing terrorists from areas managed by the White Knight Corps.
