Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir – On Sunday, the Indian Army caught a man near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch District after a local resident reported seeing someone suspicious. The man, named Mohammad Faiz Yasir, is 31 years old and comes from Tetrinote in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK).
A resident of Salotri village noticed Yasir acting strangely near his home and quickly informed the Army. The soldiers arrived at the scene and detained him for questioning.
The Army is now investigating why Yasir was in the area. After the investigation, he will be handed over to the Poonch Police for further action.
This incident highlights the importance of being alert in the region, especially near the LoC, where unauthorized crossings can be a security concern. The Army encourages local people to report any suspicious activities to help keep the community safe.
