Ananya Das Mahapatra grew up in the small village of Mohanpur in West Medinipur. She is the daughter of Atin and Jayashree Das Mahapatra and is now happily married to Mr. Shyamapada Sahoo.
Ananya has always loved learning. She has a master’s degree in English and has also studied classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, Rabindra Nritya, and Bharatnatyam. In addition to her artistic skills, she has completed courses in Abacus, makeup, and teacher training.
For a while, Ananya enjoyed a successful career that combined her love for education and her job. However, her life took a difficult turn when she suddenly lost her vision due to a health issue called idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Doctors told her that there was no clear solution for her condition. This news was very hard for her, and she felt uncertain about her future. Despite this, Ananya was determined to stay positive and return to work.
With a strong desire to help others, especially women, Ananya decided to start her own education company called “Ana Knowledge Arena Private Limited.” In May 2023, she launched ANABACUS, a program that helps girls and women learn new skills and earn money. Many women have joined this program, and it has been a great success.
Ananya’s talent in dance was recognized when she was invited to perform at an international dance festival in Bangladesh. She won the award for Best Dancer, which was a dream come true for her. However, shortly after this achievement, she found out she was pregnant. Sadly, she lost her baby after four months, and her health issues worsened. This was a very tough time for her, but with the support of her husband, Ananya found the strength to keep going.
On January 22, 2025, Ananya opened her play school called “Ana Kids.” She plans to start a high school in the future, where students will learn about their culture and values. Ananya’s goal is to empower women and help them succeed.
Ananya Das Mahapatra’s story is one of strength and determination. Despite facing many challenges, she continues to inspire others and show that with hard work and passion, it is possible to make a positive impact in the world.
