On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for its excellent work in fighting Naxalism and bringing peace to the Northeastern states and Jammu and Kashmir.
During his visit to the CRPF headquarters, Shah met with senior officers, including Director General Anish Dayal Singh. He reviewed the operations and administrative efficiency of the CRPF, which is the world’s largest paramilitary force.
Shah highlighted the CRPF’s important role in maintaining internal security and peace across India. He also learned about the welfare programs for the families of CRPF soldiers who have lost their lives, including job opportunities within the force for their family members.
The home minister stressed the importance of using Hindi more in the CRPF’s daily activities to promote unity through language. He also encouraged soldiers to include more ‘Shri Ann’ (millets) in their diet for better health and to use Ayurveda and participate in the ‘Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan’ for personalized health insights.
This visit by the home minister shows the government’s appreciation for the CRPF’s dedication to national security and its various contributions to building the nation. Several senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, including Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, attended the meeting.
