Jammu, Nov. 8: Jammu police, who have a zero tolerance policy for drug abuse, raided the home of a police constable named Parwaiz Khan S/O Late Mohd R/O Azmatabad Thanamandi Rajouri A/P Gujjar Mohalla Janipur. They found about 33 grams of heroin (Chitaa) along with 22 cell phones, a weighing machine, Rs. 25640, foil papers, and other paraphernalia used to make small amounts of heroin or chitta to sell to local youths in order to profit excessively from the sale of drugs.
Nargis Bhat and Parveen Akhtar, his two wives, were also taken into custody by Janipur police, and drugs were found in their possession. He was getting help from Nargis Bhat and Parveen Akhtar to make bits and sell them to their local clients.
FIR no. 128/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29/27A NDPS Act has been filed in this regard, and an investigation is currently underway.
