Srinagar Feb 21: Early Friday morning, a fire broke out in the Bohri Kadal area of the old city, damaging at least four houses. The fire department received the emergency call at 4:18 AM and quickly responded to the scene.
When firefighters arrived, they found that two to three houses were already on fire. They worked hard to control the flames and were able to stop the fire from spreading further. Thankfully, no one was injured, and there were no reports of injuries or deaths.
The fire affected three residential homes and a five-storey building that had both homes and shops. The full extent of the damage is still being looked into, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Authorities will provide more information as the fire’s cause is under investigation. Residents are encouraged to stay alert and report anything unusual that could lead to future fires.
