Gupta stated that Jammu and Kashmir has always been a part of India and that no amount of false claims from Pakistan can change this fact. He pointed out that Pakistan is facing serious political and economic problems and is using the issue of Kashmir to distract from its own issues.
He urged Pakistan to focus on the human rights violations happening in areas it controls, like Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan, where people are denied basic rights. Gupta also highlighted that Pakistan is known for supporting terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and criticized it for lecturing India on human rights while its own minorities face discrimination.
Gupta praised the Indian government’s decision to revoke Article 370 and 35A on August 5, 2019, saying it has led to significant development in Jammu and Kashmir. He mentioned improvements in infrastructure, increased investments, a rise in tourism, and more democratic participation since that decision.
He also pointed to the successful G20 Summit held in Srinagar as proof that the international community recognizes the positive changes in Jammu and Kashmir. This event showed that the world acknowledges the region’s progress and stability.
Gupta noted that the recent Lok Sabha and J&K Assembly elections were conducted peacefully, demonstrating that the people of Jammu and Kashmir support peace and democracy. The high voter turnout shows that residents are rejecting Pakistan’s narrative and are actively participating in India’s democratic process.
In conclusion, Gupta urged Pakistan to stop spreading lies and focus on its own problems. He reaffirmed that India is committed to the peace and development of Jammu and Kashmir, and that the people of the region have chosen progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
He ended by stating that Pakistan’s attempts to mislead the world will not succeed, and that Jammu and Kashmir will always remain a part of India.
