Poonch – A brief exchange of gunfire took place along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district on Sunday morning. Security officials reported that around 11:30 AM, an Indian Army post was fired upon from a forested area across the LoC in the Gulpur sector.
Indian soldiers quickly responded to the attack, and the gunfire lasted for a short time. Fortunately, there were no damages or injuries reported on the Indian side.
It is still unclear whether the firing came from the Pakistan Army or from terrorists hiding in the forests, possibly looking for a chance to cross the border.
Security forces are closely monitoring the situation, as tensions along the LoC remain a concern. Investigations are ongoing to find out more about the incident.
