Jammu, 4 Feb 2025 – The Jammu Police have made a significant achievement by solving two kidnapping cases, rescuing the victims, and arresting the suspects.
The first case was reported on January 19, 2025. A mother from Jammu went to the Police Station Domana to report that her daughter, who is between 16 and 17 years old, had been kidnapped. She accused Sonu Kumar, who is from Nabyua Kallan in Uttar Pradesh and currently lives in Greater Kailash, Jammu, of taking her daughter from their home. The police quickly registered a case (FIR No. 20/2025) and started an investigation.
In another case on January 31, 2025, a different mother reported at Police Post Pouni Chak that her 24-year-old daughter had been kidnapped by Md. Asfak, who is from Jharkhand. The police registered this case as well (FIR No. 28/2025).
To find the missing girls, special police teams were formed. With hard work and the use of technology, the police successfully located and rescued both victims from outside the Union Territory. They also arrested the suspects involved in the kidnappings.
After completing the necessary legal steps, the police reunited the rescued victims with their families, bringing joy and relief to their loved ones. The Jammu Police are continuing their investigations to ensure that justice is served in both cases.
