Kulgam, 3 February 2025 – Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has shared his deep sadness over the killing of ex-serviceman Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, who was attacked by militants in Kulgam, South Kashmir. He condemned the violence, stating that such acts have no place in society and added, “May peace and justice prevail.”
Wagay, along with his wife and daughter, was attacked in the Behibagh area of Kulgam on Saturday afternoon. Officials reported that all three were taken to the hospital for treatment. Sadly, Wagay died from his injuries, but his wife and daughter are said to be in stable condition.
The incident has upset the local community, with many calling for better security to protect people from such violence. Authorities are investigating the attack and are working to find those responsible.
