Jammu 29/01/2025: The Jammu and Kashmir police on wednesday conducted raids at 25 locations in the region, targeting homes of suspected terrorists operating from across the Line of Control (LoC). This action is part of an ongoing investigation into cases related to terrorism from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Officials said that the raids took place in different areas of the border district, with help from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). One of the key raids was at the house of Iftikhar Hussain and his brother Mohd Parvaz in Tundi Tarar, near the town, around 9:50 AM. However, after searching for more than an hour, the police did not find anything significant.
The officials mentioned that another brother, Mohd Asgar, also known as “Billa” or “Kaka,” is a terrorist currently operating from across the LoC. The searches are still ongoing, and more information is expected to come out soon.
These raids happened just a day after security forces carried out large search operations at nearly two dozen places across Jammu. This is part of a plan to eliminate terrorism in the region, which faced several attacks last year. The recent searches in high-altitude areas and forests along the LoC ended without any contact with terrorists.
Security forces are increasing their anti-terror operations to ensure that terrorists cannot use the winter months to set up bases in the area, showing their commitment to keeping Jammu and Kashmir safe.
