Jammu, January 27, 2025 – Jammu Police have arrested Pankaj Singh, also known as Panku Raja, during a raid in the Bishnah area. Police found 25 grams of a substance believed to be heroin and a 9mm pistol with him. Raja lives in Kotli Mian Fateh and has a long criminal record with 12 previous cases against him.
The arrest happened as part of a police operation aimed at reducing drug-related crimes. Raja had just been released after serving time under the Public Safety Act, which raised concerns about his return to illegal activities.
After the arrest, police are investigating to find out more about Raja’s involvement in drug trafficking and where the gun came from. A police spokesperson said they are committed to keeping the community safe and breaking up any criminal groups connected to Raja.
