Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during a robbery at his home in Bandra, Mumbai, early Thursday morning. Doctors at Lilavati Hospital said a “2.5-inch long” knife was found in his spine, which caused serious injuries and a leak of spinal fluid.
Dr. Nitin Dange, a neurosurgeon at the hospital, explained that Saif was brought in at 2 am after being attacked by an unknown person. He had to undergo emergency surgery to remove the knife and fix the spinal fluid leak.
Saif also had two deep cuts—one on his left hand and another on his neck. A team of plastic surgeons treated these injuries.

Dr. Dange shared good news, saying, “Mr. Saif Ali Khan is now stable and recovering well. He is out of danger.”
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the chief operating officer of Lilavati Hospital, said that after the surgery, Saif was moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) for observation. “He will be watched for a day, and we will check on him tomorrow. Right now, he is doing well and recovering,” he added.
