Abhey Singh, a graduate from IIT Bombay, has become famous for his surprising change from being an engineer to a spiritual seeker. Recently, he shared his story during an interview at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, and many people were amazed to learn about his background.
Abhey, who is from Haryana, studied aerospace engineering at one of India’s best colleges. After moving to Canada in 2019, he earned a good salary of about ₹3 lakh per month. But even with this money, he faced challenges. He struggled with depression and felt lost, which made him start looking for a deeper meaning in life.
He explained that while he was making good money, living in Canada was expensive. “An apple that costs ₹50 in India would cost ₹200 there,” he said. This high cost of living, along with his mental health issues, pushed him to explore spirituality.
Abhey also talked about his past relationships. He had a girlfriend for four years but was scared of marriage because of the fights he saw between his parents. “I was scared of marriage. My parents used to fight,” he shared. This made it hard for him to understand how to have a healthy relationship.
Before he became an ascetic, Abhey admitted that he used to drink and smoke like many young people. However, he always felt a strong desire to find the truth about life. This search led him to give up his material life and focus on spirituality.
When asked if he still keeps in touch with his family, Abhey said no, emphasizing that his focus is now solely on his spiritual path. “No, now it’s just Mahadev,” he stated, showing his commitment to his new life.
Abhey Singh’s journey is inspiring and shows that success can mean different things to different people. His story encourages others to think about what truly makes them happy and fulfilled in life.
