A woman from Jammu and Kashmir is accused of stealing money and gold from her husband after marrying another man she met on Facebook. The police are investigating the case after the husband filed a complaint.
The woman, named Abiral from Srinagar, was married to Vinod Kumar from Mohali, Punjab, in 2017. She later started a relationship with Faizan Ahmed from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, through social media. In December 2024, Abiral left her husband to be with Ahmed and married him two days later.
When Kumar found out about the second marriage, he went to the Rae Bareli police. He claimed that Ahmed convinced his wife to leave him and take valuables worth Rs 5 lakh, including gold, a mobile phone, and Rs 2 lakh in cash.
Senior Police Officer Shivakant Pandey said that the woman wants to stay with her new partner. The investigation is ongoing as police look into the details of the alleged theft and marriage.
