Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally settled their divorce, ending a long and difficult process. They agreed on how to divide their property and rights, but some legal issues remain.
Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016 after an incident on a plane where she said Pitt was abusive. The FBI and child services looked into it but did not press charges. In 2019, a judge declared them divorced, but they still had to settle other matters like child custody.
The couple hired a private judge to help with the case, which kept many details private. At one point, the judge decided they would share custody of their children equally, but Jolie had the judge removed due to a conflict of interest, so they had to start over. Now, only two of their six children are minors, so custody is less of an issue.
